
QSL side Al Arabi have extended the contract of youngster Abdulrahman Anad for an additional year as a gesture of support from the club. The Qatari midfielder picked up a serious knee injury while representing the Qatar U23 team at the AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers in China.
Anad, who enjoyed last season on loan with Al Shahania is a regular at U23 level and will be hoping for a speedy recovery form his injury as his new club has shown full support for the player.
Earlier on in the week, Arabi management confirmed a trio of young local players for the side. With Qatar U23 player Tarek Hamed, youth team player Zaid Saad and midfielder Ahmed Al Nhaowi having signed contracts with the club.
Al Arabi will be heading to Slovenia for their pre-season training camp at the start of next week under the guidance of new coach Kais Yaâkoubi and will return to Doha on the 26th of August.
