DOHA: Qatar Stars League (QSL) side Al Ahli will take on Sudanese team Al-Merrikh Sporting Club in a friendly on Thursday, it was announced on Monday.
Al Ahli are preparing for their QSL clash against former champions Al Gharafa on January 3.
The venue is yet to be decided, it emerged on Monday.
Al Ahli will miss the services of Mojtaba Jabbari of Iran and Meshal Mubarak, a club official said.
The match has been scheduled on the insistence of coach Yusuf Adam as the team prepares for the second half of the season.
Al Ahli are in 8th spot in the QSL points race.
