QSL league leaders Lekhwiya have been handed a boost ahead of their round 17 match against Al Wakrah, announcing that midfielder Abdurahman Mohammed has returned to the club following his loan spell with Al Ahli. Mohammed trained on Tuesday evening with the club, who ramped up their preparations ahead of their Sunday evening game against The Blue Waves.

In other team news, Lekhwiya have also confirmed that midfielder Luis Martin will be unavailable for selection following his red card in Lekhwiya’s 2-1 victory over title rivals Al Sadd. The Qatar internatiaonal will be available for selection for Lekhwiya’s clash against Al Arabi in round 18.

Finally, Lekhwiya attacker Muhammed Muntari has successfully undergone surgery on his cruciate ligament in London. The Qatar international is now set for a six month spell on the sidelines following the operation. The long road to recovery will now begin for the striker, who realistically will be back in contention for the Red Knights by the start of the 2017/2018 QSL season.
