The QSL Round 14 will be concluded with four games on Wednesday the 4th of January 2017, beginning with Al Kharaitiyat versus Al Sadd at 16:15 at the Al Khor Stadium and Muaither vs Lekhwiya at Thani bin Jassim Stadium that kicks off at the same time. These are followed by a tough grudge match between Al Gharafa and Al Ahli at 18:25 at the same venue, while the last of the Round 14 fixtures will be between Al Wakrah and El Jaish at 18:25 at the Saoud bin Abdel Rahman Stadium.
All four fixtures should prove to be fierce contests as all the teams hope to get their New Year off to a good start and ensure the second part of the 2016/17 season goes as well as possible.
Al Kharaitiyat versus Al Sadd
Al Kharaitiyat (12 points) will attempt to keep up their winning march in order to avoid the relegation zone following a shock win over Al Gharafa in the previous round, while Al Sadd (31 points) is also in desperate need for the win to maintain their title chances and to compensate for the tie in the previous round versus El Jaish.
Muaither versus Lekhwiya
Muaither (last with 9 points) will have a very difficult encounter against Lekhwiya (on top with 33 points). It seems that Lekhwiya’s task is easy in this game to maintain their leading QSL spot, while Muaither is looking forward to shocking Lekhwiya and commence the journey of escaping the bottom of the league table.
Al Gharafa versus Al Ahli
Al Gharafa (23 points) is aiming at regaining their balance when confronting Al Ahli (14 points) in order to maintain their position among the top four teams and compensate for their previous defeat to Al Kharaitiyat, while Al Ahli will seek to continue their winning ways after defeating Muaither in the previous round to move further up the QSL table.
Al Wakrah versus El Jaish
Al Wakrah (10 points) face a very tough test when they face off against El Jaish (29) who have been in fine form so far this season. Al Wakrah come into the tie after registering a huge win against Al Sailiyah by five goals in Round 13. El Jaish head into the tie desperate to revive their winnings ways and keep pressure on Lekhwiya after recording a draw against Al Sadd in their round 13 clash.
