Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Al Wakrah.

“The good display against Umm Salal underlined the fact that we are on the right path in terms of performance. However, we were found wanting in making good use of opportunities and applying finishing touches. That is what we will work on against Al Wakrah and then in the last match of the league.

“It is necessary that we work on improving the team’s ability to score goals, without which it is difficult to come out with full points.

“All players are ready to face Al Wakrah. The match will be very important and my team has all chances to present a good level in order to win the three points. We respect Al Wakrah who have many talented Qatari players, especially Meshaal Abdullah and others, in all departments of the game. But we do not fear them. We are fully prepared for the match,” said Nebojsa.

Al Ahli goalkeeper Ivanildo Rodriguez said, “We must continue the good performance we put up against Al Wakrah. Everyone is working hard to get the best possible result. There is no easy match or opponent in the league. In every match, we face different competitors and we must always be on top of our readiness to achieve the desired result.”
