Al Wakrah coach Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Rayyan.

“We prepared well for the Al Rayyan match because we want to end the league championship in the best possible way, so that this would be the perfect culmination of the great efforts we put in during the season. If we finish this season in fifth or even sixth place, that would be a good result.

“Pressure does not mean anything to the coach now, as we are always working to achieve positive results. I think Al Wakrah, for a long time, were not in those positions. Of course, that is something important for the club, players and the coach. It is not pressure, but a responsibility.

“The greatest strength of Al Rayyan is the player who always makes the difference, Yacine Brahimi. We must be wary of him. Al Rayyan were always in second or third place in the league and this underlines the fact that they are a very good team. All their players are good and we must pay attention because they play well and they are a strong team for me,” said Marquez.
