Al Rayyan V Al Arabi- Derby Week
 
The Qatar Stars League is promoting one of the biggest matches of the domestic season when Al Rayyan face Al Arabi  in what promises to be an entertaining match. Al Rayyan and Al Arabi are often the most considered the most passionate sets of fans in Qatar, and both teams will be looking to collect the three points on offer.  Tickets for the match are available online via qsl.com.qa to avoid disappointment!

Gates open at 3:30pm at the Grand Hamad stadium be sure to arrive to get the best possible seats for the big match! The QSL also has e host of family friendly activities on offer! Including a tug of war challenge, best dressed fan competition and prize draw for fans attending the match.

In acknowledgement of the holy fasting day of Muharram, the QSL is providing special refreshments of dates, water and coffee free of charge to break the fast at Maghreb prayer.  
Across social media, the QSL will be promoting the match extensively using the hashtag #QSL1516 along with two competitions across their official Instagram and Snapchat accounts in which fans have the opportunity to win a Iphone 6s and a Ipad! 

On the pitch, and Al Rayyan has taken the QSL by storm since gaining promotion from the Qatar Gas League. The Lions remain unbeaten this season, and comfortably defeated Al Khor 4-2 last time out.  Head coach Jorge Fossati will be looking for a sixth straight victory against Arabi, to confirm top spot in the league. 

Al Arabi perhaps pulled off the result of round five in the QSL defeating Lekhwiya 3-2, thanks to a hat-trick from Brazilian striker Junior Dutra. Arabi have been on a fine run of form this season winning four times, and only losing narrowly to Al Gharafa in round four. Gianfranco Zola has revitalized the fortunes of the Dream Team, who will be looking to grab a Qatar Cup place. 

This tie should be an interesting open match, with both sides fresh from scoring plenty of goals in round five. Expect plenty of noise off the field, with both sets of fans the most vocal in the league. Be sure to support your team and come along to watch the match live!
