Al Sadd are sure to go all out against Qatar SC when they face off in Week 18 of the QNB Stars League on Thursday, 28th February. The kick-off is at 20:10 at the Al Sadd Stadium.

Al Sadd are leading the standings with 44 points (14 wins, two draws and one loss). They have many other firsts to their credit. The Wolves have the most number of wins (Al Duhail are second with 12 victories) and most goal difference (+59) besides the most number of goals scored (75). The number of goals they conceded is 16.

Last week’s Qatar Clasico win over Al Rayyan by a 4-0 margin has no doubt boosted the confidence of Al Sadd, coached by Portuguese Jesualdo Ferreira.

Al Sadd’s charge will be led by tournament top scorer and ace Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah as well as Qatar internationals Hassan Al Haydous, Akram Afif, Abdulkarim Hassan and Boualem Khoukhi.

However, they will be without injured Spanish midfield maestro Xavi Hernandez as well as defender Tarik Salman and Spanish star Gabi Fernandez, both due to suspensions.

Qatar SC, who crashed to a 1-3 defeat at Al Khor last week, are 10th in the QNB Stars League standings with 16 points (four wins, as many draws and nine defeats). Their goal difference is -11 (15 goals for and 26 against).

Qatar SC, under the tutelage of Argentinian Sergio Batista, need points to improve their position. The Kings’ squad consists of Cameroonian star striker Samuel Eto’o, Hussein Ali, Bahaa Abdulrahman, Ali Awad and Omar Al Emadi.
