Qatar Football Association has decided officially to allow Qatar Stars League clubs to register four foreign players in a starting lineup (3 foreigners + 1 Asian national), as of next season they will all be eligible to participate in games.

The decision, which was issued by means of an official circular directed to the clubs, also included mentioned that the decision was issued after the meeting held by the QFA President Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifah Bin Ahmed Al Thani and the sports clubs on 8^th of April 2015.

Following a thorough study of the players experience in the previous season (2014/15) and with the cooperation of the QFA and the clubs the decision was reached to change the rules. 

The directive stated a provision must be made so that each club fields at least one Qatari player (under 23) within their starting line up who is to be substituted with another Qatari player of the same age.
