Mansour Muftah

Mansour Muftah Faraj Bekhit Al Abdullah, Qatari football legend and Al Rayyan star.

He began his football career with age-group teams of Al Rayyan club in 1972.

He played for Al Rayyan from 1974 to 1995 and won the league six times. He also played for Al Wakrah for three seasons, in addition to Al Sailiya at the end of his career.

He played with the Qatar national team from 1976 to 1999 and is one of the best scorers in the history of Qatar football. He was the league's top scorer four times, in 1982, 1983, 1984, and 1986, scoring 19, 10, seven, and 22 goals respectively.


Mansour was considered one of the best players in the Gulf and Arab world. He won the Arab Top Scorer Award in 1985 and 1986 and was the first to win it twice in a row.


He retired from football in 2000, in a match against Egypt in which he scored a goal.
