Al Markhiya and Al Ahli played out a 1-1 draw in Round 2 of 2026-2027 season QSL Cup at the Al Gharafa club’s Thani Bin Jassim Stadium on Tuesday.

Al Ahli took the lead in the 54th minute through Ismail Mohammed, putting his side ahead after a closely-contested opening period.

Al Markhiya responded strongly and found the equaliser in the 67th minute through Ahmed Aboutrika, restoring parity and ensuring the points were shared.

Both teams pushed for a winning goal in the closing stages, but neither could find the decisive breakthrough as the match ended level.
