Umm Salal coach Patrice Carteron spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 12 match against Al Gharafa.

“The game will be tough and challenging for both sides as each team strives to secure the three points.

“It will be a tough match for both teams and each will enter the game aiming for victory and the three points. The recent win against Al Ahli gave the team a significant morale boost.

“We will enter the match with full force and our goal is to deliver a great performance and build the players’ confidence. We must come out stronger in 2026 and give our all to achieve a positive result,” said Carteron.

Umm Salal player Naim Laidouni said, “The victory over Al Ahli gave the team a significant morale boost. It gave us high confidence and morale. We know that Al Gharafa are a strong team and the league leaders, and despite some absences, they are a very well-organized team.

“Al Gharafa’s loss in the last round will give them an extra incentive, but we will play hard to win. We prepare for each match separately and our goal is to enter positively and give our best to achieve a result that satisfies our ambitions.”
