Al Arabi coach Cosmin Contra spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 20 match against Al Shahania.

“We are entering the Al Shahania match aiming to secure the three points to strengthen our position in the standings. It will be a tough encounter as we face an opponent fighting to avoid relegation, which necessitates that we approach the match with utmost seriousness and maintain high mental focus throughout the 90 minutes.

“During training, we worked on diversifying our attacking options to break down the expected defensive formations, while maintaining defensive balance to prevent any surprise counter-attacks that could cost us dearly at this crucial stage of the league,” said Cosmin.
