Al Sailiya coach Mirghani Al Zain spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 1 match against Al Duhail.

“The preparation period proceeded according to the established technical and physical programme, aiming to reach peak performance at the start of official competitions.

“Al Sailiya have maintained a high degree of stability within our ranks, while reinforcing certain positions with new players. I have confidence in the current squad and its ability to deliver a strong season, given the blend of experienced players and new additions,” said Mirghani.

Al Sailiya player Ali Olwan said, “The team enters the season with a more complete squad compared to last season. The pre-season training camp was successful and contributed to raising the level of readiness and harmony among the players.

“The competition will be fierce among all teams, and focus and preparedness in each match will be key to achieving positive results. I am sure we will deliver a season worthy of Al Sailiya’s name and the ambitions of our fans.”
