Al Gharafa consolidated their position as leaders following a 2-1 win over Al Arabi in Week 13 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Thumama Stadium on Thursday.

Al Gharafa, however, saw their player Joselu being flashed with a red card in the 84th minute following a VAR decision by the referee.

Al Gharafa made a bright start moving 1-0 up in the very second minute of the match as Joselu headed in a Yacine Brahimi assist. Al Arabi battled hard and found the equalizer in the 67th minute as Pablo Sarabia seized a chance to put the ball into the net.

Al Gharafa wrested back the initiative, with Jamal Hamed scoring in the 79th minute.

The result saw The Cheetahs move to a total of 31 points at the top, while Al Arabi remained on a tally of 20 points.
