Al Wakrah Head Coach the Uruguayan Jose Mauricio said to the club’s official website that he will do his best to resume the successful career he started in his country. He hopes he can have the same kind of results with al Wakrah during the new Qatar Stars League season which will kick off September 11.
 
The head coach explained that he had won the best head coach award in his country the previous season 2014/15:" Such awards will inspire me to double my efforts with Al Wakrah.”
 
Players and staff who are currently overseas in Italy organised a small party for the head coach.
Mauricio expressed his joy and happiness with this kind gesture as he didn't expect it. Deputy Head of Football Abdullah Saqr said that such a small party is the least they could do for the head coach.
 
Saqr added: "This celebration was to confirm that Al Wakrah Sports Club Board was successful in choosing this coach, whom we hope can bring us success."
