Lekhwiya Sports Club General Secretary Adnan Al Ali has said that negotiations for the renewal of Danish Head Coach Michael Laudrup’s contract are still ongoing. The Dane’s agent has said that the Club is keen to finalize the deal in the coming few days.

Al Ali said in a statement to QSL Online, ““This matter will be settled within the coming couple of days, Lekhwiya is keen to keep this distinguished head coach, particularly after the huge successes he accomplished with the team by winning both the domestic title and the 2015 Qatar Cup, as well as qualifying for the AFC Champions League quarterfinals.”

Laudrup’s contract was for only one season and he is currently not contracted to the club.
