QSL side Lekhwiya grabbed their first point of their AFC Champions League campaign, after being held to a 0-0 draw against Iranian side Zob Ahan, away from home.

Djamel Belmadi’s side will ultimately be frustrated with the result, as they spurned two key chances in the second half. Midfielders Ismael Mohammed and South Korean international Nam Tae-Hee missing two guilt edge chances.

Lekhwiya are in fourth place in group D, and will take on top side Al Nassr away from home in two weeks’ time. Djamel Belmardi will be hoping for an upturn in fortunes for his side, who suffered a 5-0 defeat to Al Rayyan in the QSL last weekend.
