QSL side Al Arabi, could be without midfielder Ali Jasimi for their crunch round 20 match-up against top four rivals Al Sadd.
The club confirmed that the player has had a knock on the knee, ahead of the Sunday evening match at Lekhwiya stadium. The club also noted that the Qatari midfielder’s fitness will be determined in the final training session before the big match.
Al Arabi will also be without striker Youssef Ahmed and defender Adel Lami, who will be missing the match through suspension.
In other news, Al Arabi continued their preparation for their match with Al Sadd on Tuesday evening. The squad, minus Jasimi underwent light recovery drills under the watchful eye of Arabi head coach Gianfranco Zola.
Arabi are currently in sixth place in the QSL standings, and know that a victory over Al Sadd could see them move back into the top four places in the league come the end of Sunday evening.
