Al Rayyan’s head coach Jorge Fossati has been awarded the coach of the month award for February. The Uruguayan tactician is expected to pick up the award at Al Rayyan’s training ground on Wednesday evening. This is the first time that a QSL head coach has picked up the award four times in a season.

The Lions have been dominant in February winning all of their games, impressive victories over champions Lekhwiya and Al Arabi mean that Al Rayyan are now on the cusp of lifting their first falcon shield since the 1994/1995 season.





In front of goal, Al Rayyan scored 12 times in five games; creating an average of 9.2 chances per match.  However it is defensively where the Lions have excelled conceding 0 goals during February.

Al Rayyan now only need one more point to confirm their status as QSL champions, and will face Al Wakrah in round 21 on Saturday evening.
