QSL online caught up with Al Arabi’s Head of Football Ali Al Sulaiti ahead of the round 24 match of the week against Umm Salal, to get his thoughts on the Dream Team and their progress this season.

Al Sulati stressed the similaries of the sides going into the game.  “Both teams are looking forward to finish the league campaign in the 5th position. Currently there is one point difference between both teams with Umm Salal 35 points and Al Arabi 34 points” he noted.

Al Sulaiti did admit that the task of getting into the Top 4 would be hard for Arabi with three QSL games left to play. “To finish in the top 4 will require us to win the coming three games as well as awaiting the results of the other teams. The mission is difficult but Al Arabi will be playing to win as usual.”

Al Sulaiti renewed his confidence in all the players before the Umm Salal confrontation. They are capable of achieving the win and gaining the three points. He said: “The players did their best and they have strong desire to compensate for the missing points and especially the recent defeat to Al Ahli in the previous round.”

Al Arabi will be eager to get back to winning ways following their 3-1 defeat to local rivals Al Ahli in round 23. Al Sulaiti was eager to stress the side is ready for the game. “We are ready for a battle on Friday. We have had a good week training hard, the team is fully prepared.”

Speaking about rival Umm Salal Al Sulaiti reflected: “Umm Salal is a tough team. They have quality local and foreign players. I expect the match to be exciting. No one can tell which team will win.”

Al Arabi take on Umm Salal on Saturday the 2nd of April, KO 18:15 at Al Arabi stadium.
