<p>Al Sadd got the better of Umm Salal 3-1 in Week 7 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Friday.</p><p>Akram Afif (35th minute), Santi Cazorla (50th-minute penalty) and substitute Hassan Al Haydous (90+1) scored for Al Sadd, while Roosbeh Mohammed netted Umm Salal’s only goal in the 40th minute.</p><p>Al Sadd thus maintained the top position in the table with 19 points following their sixth victory. The Wolves also remained as the only unbeaten team so far in the tournament.</p><p>Umm Salal crashed to their fifth defeat and stood on four points.</p><p>Al Sadd, who dominated Umm Salal, were in full strength with the return of their players, mainly Qatar internationals, from country duty.</p><p>Akram put Al Sadd ahead after half an hour into the game, but Umm Salal drew level through Roosbeh before the break.</p><p>Rodrigo Tabata almost scored the second goal for Al Sadd in the last minute of first half with a powerful shot, but goalkeeper Baba Malick was on hand to make a save.</p><p>On to the second session and Al Sadd surged ahead through a penalty converted by Cazorla and awarded when Umm Salal’s Omar Yahya fouled Akram.</p><p>Umm Salal tried hard for a second equaliser, but in vain.</p><p>Instead, Al Sadd made it 3-1 through Al Haydous in stoppage time.</p>
