Umm Salal coach Danilo spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 14 match against Al Arabi.

“This match is a significant milestone as it is my first game in charge of the team. We will enter the match with a clear objective – victory.

“We believe in our abilities and we must be positive on the field. We must play every match with the sole aim of winning. We have faith in ourselves and our players, and we must demonstrate this confidence through a strong and organized performance.

“The coaching staff have worked intensively over the past week, preparing the team thoroughly. We have studied our opponents well and worked on correcting the mistakes made in previous matches. We believe we are capable of performing better,” said Danilo.

Umm Salal player Abdulrahman Al Rashidi said, “The match against Al Arabi will be tough and we know it is a big game against a difficult opponent.

“We have prepared ourselves thoroughly to put on a good performance and the team has readied itself as required, especially considering Al Arabi have top-level players.

“We consider the remaining matches as cup finals and Umm Salal are capable of a comeback. We do not deserve to be in this position (last). To move away from this situation, we must play with strength and a high fighting spirit.”
