Al Ahli Sports Club officially relieved their head coach Milan Machala from his position, and assigned him as the Club’s  new Technical Director of Football.

In his place the Club has appointed the Croatian Zalatco Dalic as the new Head Coach, who will arrive in Doha within the next few days.

The above decision was reached by mutual consensus following the meeting convened with Sheikh Ahmed Bin Hamad Bin Ali Al Thani, the Al Ahli Club President and Mr. Khalid Shabib, the Vice President as well as the Head of Football.

Matchala became Al Ahli Head Coach when the team was in the second division in 2013 where he helped them ascend to the Qatar Stars League.

The team’s last result was enough to Czech tactician ousted as they lost 4-2 to Al Khor.
