The Qatar Cup final between Al Sadd and Al Duhail will also be noted for the star wars between players of both teams. The match will kick off at the Al Sadd Stadium at 19:00 on Friday, 27th April.

Both Al Sadd and Al Duhail have star players in all departments of the game. They are the ones Al Sadd coach Jesualdo Ferreira and his Al Duhail counterpart Djamel Belmadi can rely on.

Al Sadd will seek to retain the cup they won by beating El Jaish in the final last season, while Al Duhail will be keen to regain the title they won in the 2014-15 season, the second edition of the tournament.

A photoshoot was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Doha on Tuesday in connection with the grand final. It featured Al Sadd's Algerian midfielder Jugurtha Hamroun and Al Duhail's South Korean playmaker Nam Tae-Hee.

Al Sadd’s star parade consists of Spain and Barcelona great Xavi Hernandez, Qatar internationals Hassan Al Haydous and Akram Afif, and Algerian aces Baghdad Bounedjah and Hamroun.

On the other hand, Al Duhail have Qatar internationals Almoez Ali and Karim Boudiaf, Nam and Moroccan striker Youssef El Arabi, who emerged as the QNB Stars League’s top scorer with 26 goals.

El Arabi was the top scorer last season as well.

Bounedjah, the second-best scorer last season, came fourth this time with 16 goals despite missing many matches due to an injury.

El Arabi and Bounedjah also played prominent roles in their teams’ good performances in the AFC Champions League that resulted in them both advancing to the Round of 16.

Al Haydous, Hamroun and Nam all ended up with 12 goals each in this season’s QNB Stars League. Nam had scored a hat-trick in Al Duhail’s 6-1 victory over Al Gharafa in the Qatar Cup semifinal last Sunday.
