Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 17 match against Umm Salal.

“We had three days to prepare for this match and although this time is not enough for any team, I am confident that we will be as ready as possible.

“I know we are facing a team that has won its last three matches, both in the league and Amir Cup, so I am sure it will be a very difficult game. However, I have faith in the players and we are looking forward to giving our best performance,” said Moreno.

Al Wakrah player Yusupha Njie said, “All players have prepared well for the upcoming match against Umm Salal. We are working hard and all players are fully focused and have trained intensely, so we are fully prepared for the match.

“I received a very warm welcome at Al Wakrah club and I am happy to be here. Everyone has been welcoming, so I feel like we are one family.”
