The 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League’s Week 16 fixtures are sure to witness intense competition on Thursday and Friday, March 2 and 3, 2023, with three matches each day.

The fixtures are: Al Rayyan vs Umm Salal at Al Sadd Stadium (16:55), Al Shamal vs Qatar SC at Al Duhail Stadium (16:55) and Al Duhail vs Al Arabi at Al Duhail Stadium (19:30) on Thursday, Al Gharafa vs Al Ahli at Al Gharafa Stadium (16:55), Al Markhiya vs Al Wakrah at Al Gharafa Stadium (19:30) and Al Sadd vs Al Sailiya at Al Sadd Stadium (19:30) on Friday.

Al Rayyan vs Umm Salal

Al Rayyan and Al Duhail were not in action in the last round (Week 15) due to their AFC Champions League 2022 Round of 16 match face-off which Al Duhail won 7-6 on penalties.

Al Rayyan are placed ninth in the standings with 11 points, ahead of Al Shamal on goal difference.

It may be recalled that Al Rayyan had beaten Al Ahli by a 4-0 margin in Week 14, the last game The Lions played in the league championship.

Umm Salal are placed at the bottom of the table with nine points, behind Al Sailiya on goal difference. The Orange Fortress have only one victory so far this season.

Umm Salal had meanwhile lost 1-2 to Al Markhiya in a postponed match from Week 8 last Saturday.

Al Shamal vs Qatar SC

Al Shamal and Qatar SC both played their postponed matches from Week 8 last Saturday. While Al Shamal played out a goalless draw with Al Wakrah, Qatar SC lost 0-2 to reigning champions Al Sadd.

Al Shamal are placed 10th with 11 points, behind Al Rayyan on goal difference, whereas Qatar SC are fourth with 23 points.

Al Duhail vs Al Arabi

Fans of both teams are eagerly waiting for this face-off between the top two teams in the table.

Al Duhail are topping the table with 32 points from 13 matches, while Al Arabi are a close second with 31 points from 14 games.

Al Duhail have played one match less due to their AFC Champions League 2022 engagements.

Al Gharafa vs Al Ahli

Al Gharafa and Al Ahli had both won in Week 15, against Al Shamal and Al Sadd respectively.

Al Gharafa are placed fifth with 22 points and Al Ahli seventh with 20 points, behind Al Wakrah on goal difference.

Al Markhiya vs Al Wakrah

Both Al Markhiya and Al Wakrah played their postponed matches from Week 8 last Saturday, with the former beating Umm Salal 2-1 and the latter holding Al Shamal to a 0-0 draw.

Al Markhiya are eighth with 15 points and Al Wakrah sixth with 20 points, ahead of Al Ahli on goal difference.

Al Sadd vs Al Sailiya

Al Sadd were in action in Week 8 (postponed match) last Saturday and beat Qatar SC 2-0.

The Wolves are currently third, behind Al Duhail and Al Arabi, with 25 points.

On the other hand, Al Sailiya are placed 11th with nine points, ahead of Umm Salal on goal difference. However, The Peregrines would look to build on their good results in the last three rounds, where they collected five valuable points (one victory and two draws).
