Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 15 match against Al Ahli.

“Al Wakrah have prepared well for this match, which we know will be difficult because we will be facing a strong team with very high-calibre players, such as Draxler, Fettouhi, Michel Flap and others. But it will be tough for them too.

“We succeeded in bringing in new players this week, but they need time to adapt. Overall, we are happy to have returned to winning ways. It is important that we continue working and our goal is to achieve victory again so that we can improve our position in the standings even further. It is still too early to talk about the top four; we must think about each match individually,” said Moreno.

Al Wakrah player Yusuf Abdurisag said, “This match will be difficult, but there is a strong determination to secure the three points.

“We just need to put in more effort than we did in the last match, where we played a great game. We need to have more confidence in ourselves and believe in our abilities, and then we can go further.”
