Al Khor staged a late fightback to hold Al Ahli to a 2-2 draw in Week 6 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League at the Al Khor Stadium on Sunday.

Patrick Eze (53rd minute) and Abdulrahman Al Harazi (63rd minute) scored for Al Ahli. And Al Khor bounced back with goals from Rafael Vaz (82nd minute) and Ismail Haddad (88th minute).

Al Khor and Al Ahli both moved on to four points and joined Umm Salal, who drew 2-2 with Qatar SC on Saturday, as the three teams still searching for their first victory in this season’s league championship.

Al Khor launched early attacks, with Giannis Fetfatzidid at the helm of them. The Greek made a serious attempt at the goal in the 37th minute with a left-footed shot.

Al Ahli slowly got into the game and Eze missed a sitter in the 44th minute by placing a weak shot wide of an open goal when Al Khor goalkeeper Baba Djibril was out of his position.

Al Ahli upped their ante in the second half and Eze, after missing opportunities, put them ahead before long.

The goal boosted Al Ahli players’ confidence and they managed to double the lead 10 minutes later through Al Harazi.

As Al Ahli tried to defend their lead, Al Khor did not rest.

After Haddad’s goal was ruled offside and Al Ahli’s Marko Jevtovic hit his shot narrowly wide, they reduced the margin through Vaz, who headed in a corner kick past goalkeeper Ivanildo Rodriguez.

Soon, Haddad brought Al Khor on level terms with a rising long-range shot.
