As part of its commitment towards supporting national initiatives that promote the culture of sports and physical activity, and reinforce the concepts of public health and an active lifestyle, the Qatar Stars League (QSL), in co-operation with participating entities, took part in the National Sport Day events (held annually on the second Tuesday of February). The events were held at Stadium 974 on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, and were attended by a number of QSL officials, staff and their families. The atmosphere was vibrant and energetic, reinforcing the positive values of sports.

The events featured a diverse range of sports and recreational activities, including exercise and walking, as well as exciting games specifically designed for children. This contributed to creating an interactive family atmosphere that reflected the importance of sports as a lifestyle for all members of the society.

On this occasion, Mr. Hani Taleb Ballan, CEO of QSL, said, “National Sport Day is a wonderful annual initiative aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030, which places people at the heart of development. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity, not only for athletes but for all sections of the society, contributing to increased self-confidence and overall health. This day, designated by the state, sends a message to everyone that sports should be part of our daily routine throughout the year, through physical activity and a healthy diet that promotes a healthy lifestyle.”

He also noted that QSL’s participation in this day stems from its deep belief in the importance of sports in building a healthy and balanced society, and is part of its strategy to support initiatives that encourage a healthy and active lifestyle and promote positive sporting values in future generations.
