Tunisian club CS Sfaxien will play host to Qatar SC in their first-leg match in the first qualifying round of King Salman Club Cup at the Stade Taieb Mhiri in Sfax, Tunisia, on Monday, April 3, 2023. The kick-off is at 23:55 Doha time.
The return leg will be held in Doha on April 11, 2023, at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium of Qatar Sports Club.
The winner on aggregate will join Group A, also featuring Esperance de Tunis, Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia and Iraq’s Al Shorta.
Qatar SC are keen to achieve a positive result in the first-leg match against Sfaxien that would give them an advantage when they take on the rivals at home a week later.
Qatar SC’s Moroccan coach Youssef Safri should be adopting an ideal strategy for Sfaxien.
The Qatar SC delegation arrived in Tunisia last Friday and the team had its main training session at the Stade Taieb Mhiri, the venue of the match.
Qatar SC’s 23-man squad comprises Sataa Al Abbasi, Moatasem Bustami, Adnan Ali, Javi Martinez, Badr Benoun, Bashar Resan, Nasir Peer, Khaled Mahmoudi, Moataz Bustami, Omar Al Emadi, Hossam Kamal, Issa Ahmed, Khaled Waleed, Sebastian Soria, Raoul Sanda, Ali Awad, Ibrahim Majed, Abdulrahman Jassim, Ahmed Khuwailid, Ahmed Al Saadi, Yousef Ali, Mohammed Salem and Jassim Al Jalabi.
Meanwhile, Egyptian coach Hossam Al Badri will be keen to achieve victory in his first official game with Sfaxien.
