Al Sailiya registered a fighting 3-2 win over Al Shahania in Week 19 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Wednesday.

Diogo Amaro (second minute), Matias Nani (seventh minute) and Younes Belhanda (61st minute) scored for Al Sailiya, while the goals for Al Shahania came from Alvaro Sanz (59th minute) and Abdoulaye Traore (71st minute).

The valuable win took Al Sailiya’s tally to 18 points and to be 11th in the standings, while the loss pushed Al Shahania (17 points) into the 12th and relegation spot.

Amaro opened the scoring early for the winners heading in a free-kick from Belhanda and the lead was soon doubled by another header from Nani off a corner kick.

Sanz grabbed a chance to strike from centre inside the box in the second session for Al Shahania, but Al Sailiya hit back again as Belhanda unleashed a powerful kick from top of the box.

Traore reduced the deficit for Al Shahania, but they could not find an equalizer.

Al Sailiya’s Omar Yahya was sent off after a second yellow in 90+2 minute.
