Table toppers Al Gharafa would be aiming to maintain their lead and avoid another setback after their 1-3 loss to Al Sadd in the previous round, while Al Sailiya seek to continue their climb up the standings and steer clear of relegation zone, more so after their goalless draw with Al Shamal in the last round.
Al Gharafa currently have a total tally of 31 points, just two ahead of second-placed Al Sadd. Al Sailiya are in 10th place with 12 points, one point ahead of Al Shahania and three points ahead of bottom-placed Umm Salal.
While Al Gharafa would be eager to bounce back with a win, Al Sailiya will surely push for a positive result, relying on their strong attack and which has been recently strengthened by the signing Jordan’s star striker Ali Olwan, the top scorer in Arab Cup 2025.
