The Qatar Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee issued several important decisions following its meeting, chaired by Mr. Hassan Al Hammadi, regarding the protest submitted by Qatar SC concerning the participation of Al Wakrah player Redouane Berkane in their match against Qatar SC in Week 20 of Doha Bank Stars League.

The Committee decided the following:

1- The protest submitted by Qatar SC is accepted in form and substance.

2- Player Redouane Berkane of Al Wakrah is suspended for one match, in addition to the match he has already served, and fined (5,000) Qatari Riyals only. This is based on Article 47/1/2 of Disciplinary Regulations for 2025-2026 season.

3- Al Wakrah are declared the loser by a score of 3-0 and fined (10,000) Qatari Riyals only. This is based on Article (34/2) of Disciplinary Regulations for 2025-2026 season.

This decision was made after reviewing the protest submitted by Qatar SC, No. 489/1/2026, dated April 5, 2026, regarding the participation of Al Wakrah player Redouane Berkane in Al Wakrah vs Qatar SC match in Doha Bank Stars League played on April 3, 2026. The player had been sent off for violent conduct against an opponent in Al Wakrah vs Al Shamal match, which was played on the same date. On 12/3/2026, in Doha Bank Stars League, a player was suspended (for a minimum of two matches) based on Article 47/1/2. It should be noted that Al Wakrah did not comply with the aforementioned article and the player did not serve the minimum suspension, as the club only suspended him for one match.

Al Wakrah signed a copy of the final match report, which serves as official notification of the penalty. Furthermore, in accordance with Article (55/1/a) of Disciplinary Regulations for 2025-2026 season, the player in question was listed despite being ineligible to participate in the match.
