Al Rayyan won the 2025-2026 season QSL Cup by beating Muaither 2-0 in the final at Stadium 974 on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

Mr. Hassan Jumaa Al Mohannadi, a member of Executive Committee of Qatar Stars League and also Qatar Football Association, along with Dr. Saleh Al Aji, President of Muaither club, and Mr. Ali Salem Afifa, Vice-President of Al Rayyan club, presented Al Rayyan with the gold medals and trophy, and Muaither with silver medals.

Roger Guedes (45+1 minute) and Aleksandar Mitrovic (53rd minute) scored the goals.

Muaither, who had an impressive tournament, made big efforts especially at the start to find a breakthrough, but were held back by a strong Al Rayyan defence. Also, Muaither’s inexperience showed when they fumbled on a fine chance inside the box on one occasion.

Al Rayyan, meanwhile, were themselves challenged by Muiather’s defence, despite coming close a few times. The deadlock was eventually broken as Brazilian Guedes made his mark as he picked on a subtle Khaled Ali assist to break into the box and beat a defender and the rival goalkeeper alike as he deposited the ball into the right corner of the net.

Al Rayyan’s lead was doubled in the second session, with Mitrovic heading in a long free-kick on the bounce and into the net. The flag was initially raised, but the goal was given following a VAR check.
