Al Rayyan defeated Oman’s Al Nahda 3-1 at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Tuesday to top Group B and qualify for the 2025-2026 Gulf Club Champions League semifinals.
Al Rayyan dominated the game, with Ahmed Alaaeldin (21st minute), Roger Guedes (56th minute) and Aleksandar Mitrovic (71st minute) being their scorers.
Messouke Oloumou (64th minute) scored the consolation goal for Al Nahda.
The hosts moved into the lead when Alaaeldin headed a fine Mohammed Surag cross from the left. Guedes then doubled the lead early in the second session, striking diagonally from left outside of the box. Mitrovic added the team’s third goal as he beat defenders after fetching a Alaaeldin cross.
For Al Nahda, Oloumou latched on to the ball following a defence lapse and later scored on a second attempt after the ball was cut off in front of the goal.
Al Rayyan finished with 12 points from six games with three wins and as many draws, while Al Nahda slipped to third with seven points, same as that of second-placed Al Shabab Riyadh.
