Al Arabi are continuing their preparations for the 2026-2027 season at its training camp in Estepona, Spain (July 19-August 7) with an increased focus on improving the team’s tactical, technical and physical readiness through rigorous indoor and outdoor training sessions.

Al Arabi are undergoing intensive daily training sessions with high seriousness and with the aim of reaching the highest levels of harmony and technical readiness under the supervision of Romanian coach Cosmin Contra and technical staff.

Al Arabi have five friendly matches scheduled during the camp – against Lions club of Gibraltar, Saudi Arabian sides Neom SC and Al Fateh, and Spanish clubs Antequera and Malaga. The games aim to assess the players’ readiness and strengthen the integration of new players with the core of the team.

Al Arabi finished seventh in 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League with 32 points (nine wins, five draws and eight defeats). They scored 37 goals and conceded 41 goals.

At the 2025-2026 Qatar Football Association Awards, Al Arabi’s Jassim Al Hail was among the nonimees for Best Goalkeeper Award.

Al Arabi have further strengthened their ranks by signing Moroccan Oussama Tannane, Tunisian Youssef Snana and Palestinian Ameed Mahajneh besides local recruits Lotfi Majder, Khatab Bouabida and Salem Al Hajri. They will join the existing crux of players such as Michael Olunga, Rodri Sanchez, Isaac Lihadji, Pablo Sarabia, Gerard Romero, Alexis Perez, Ahmed Fathy, and goalkeepers Jassim Al Hail and Youssef Hassan.

Al Arabi’s 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League campaign will begin with a match against Al Shamal at the Al Thumama Stadium on August 21 and The Dream Team will aim to have a strong season and return to the top rung of standings.
