<p>Al Sadd recorded a 5-1 victory over hosts Qatar SC in Week 7 of the QNB Stars League on Thursday.</p><p>Hamed Ismail (13th minute), Baghdad Bounedjah (20th), Akram Afif (29th), Xavi Hernandez (58th) and Ahmed Sayyar (90+3) netted the goals for Al Sadd.</p><p>Bounedjah remained as the top scorer with 14 goals. Akram is second with eight goals to his credit. </p><p>Cameroonian star Samuel Eto’o scored Qatar SC’s only goal in the 40th minute.</p><p>Al Sadd coach Jesualdo Ferreira had said they wanted a morale booster ahead of their AFC Champions League semifinal against Iran’s Persepolis and The Wolves did get that.</p><p>Al Sadd thus stayed on top of the QNB Stars League standings with 16 points. Al Duhail, who beat Al Ahli 2-1 in the day’s early kick-off, also have the same number of points, but are behind on goal difference.</p><p>Al Sadd had defeated Al Rayyan in the Qatar Clasico by a 5-0 margin last week.</p><p>Al Sadd earned a penalty when Qatar SC’s Omar Al Emadi fouled Ali Asad inside the penalty box. However, Bounedjah’s kick went over the bar.</p><p>Al Sadd dominated the game throughout, as the scoreline indicates.</p><p>Hamed’s opening goal came as a result of a free-kick taken by Xavi from the left.</p><p>Bounedjah doubled the lead, with Abdulkarim Hassan providing the assist.</p><p>Akram found the mark off a pass from Xavi, who then scored himself with a direct free-kick.</p><p>Ahmed Sayyar rounded off the tally by slotting home a rebound on the stroke of final whistle.</p><p>Eto’o produced The Kings’ consolation following an attack led by Qatar SC’s Iraqi recruit Hussein Ali.</p>
