<p>The Qatar Clasico, that expectedly turned out to be a huge success on and off the field, highlighted the QNB Stars League’s Week 6, played over Thursday, Friday and Saturday.</p><p>The Qatar Clasico, where Al Sadd defeated Al Rayyan by a 5-1 margin, lived up to its top billing and The Wolves are back on top of the table with 13 points, the same as Al Duhail who defeated Al Gharafa 4-2 in another spotlight match.</p><p>Al Sadd occupied the top spot on goal difference, while Al Rayyan slipped from top to fifth position. Al Gharafa dropped from sixth to seventh.</p><p>Al Sadd and Al Duhail have played one game less as their Week 5 matches were rescheduled due to AFC Champions League quarterfinal fixtures.</p><p>Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah continued to be the tournament top scorer with 13 goals after he contributed a brace to Al Sadd’s big win.</p><p>Akram Afif, also of Al Sadd, added one more to his tally from the Clasico to stay second in the list with seven goals.</p><p>Moroccan striker Yousef El Arabi struck a double for Al Duhail against Al Gharafa to be on five goals.</p><p>Umm Salal recorded their second successive victory when they got the better of Al Kharaitiyat 2-1. Ivorian striker Yannick Sagbo scored both their goals to take his tally to six goals and be the third player in the scorers’ chart.</p>

<p>Umm Salal moved from seventh to sixth with 10 points, while Al Kharaitiyat’s woes compounded having lost all their games.</p><p>Al Sailiya defeating Al Ahli 4-2 was the other high-scoring match. The victory also helped The Peregrines to the third position with 12 points, above Al Arabi, who have the same number of points, on goal difference.</p><p>Al Ahli remained ninth on six points.</p><p>Al Arabi got back to winning ways with a 3-0 verdict over Al Shahania. It was the Dream Team’s fourth victory, the same number as Al Sadd, Al Duhail and Al Sailiya.</p><p>Al Shahania stood eighth with seven points.</p><p>Qatar SC and Al Khor were goalless in the only drawn game of the sixth round that saw as many as 23 goals being scored.</p><p>Qatar SC and Al Khor remained 10th and 11th respectively with four and two points respectively.</p>
