<p>The Al Ahli vs Al Gharafa clash attracts the most attention among all fixtures in Week 2 of the QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:20 at the Khalifa International Stadium on Friday, 31st August.</p><p>Al Gharafa and Al Ahli are coming into the game in different moods. Al Gharafa are upbeat after they almost defeated high-flying Al Sadd before being held 1-1 through a last-gasp goal.</p><p>The Cheetahs are seventh with four points. Coached by Frenchman Christian Gourcuff, who replaced Turk Bulent Uygun at the start of this season, Al Gharafa had a disappointing start losing to Qatar SC 1-3, but recovered from it by beating Al Sailiya 2-1. And the draw with Al Sadd has boosted their players’ morale.</p><p>They have in their ranks Wesley Sneijder, Mehdi Taremi, Vladimir Weiss, Diego Amado, Othman Al Yahri and in-form goalkeeper Yusuf Hassan.</p><p>Al Ahli, on the other hand, are coming off a demoralising 1-4 defeat at the hands of Umm Salal. The Brigadiers stand 10th in the standings with three points they picked up from their 2-0 win over Qatar SC in Week 2.</p><p>Al Ahli, coached by Czech Milan Macala, will have the services of Khalil Sherif and Iranian defender Mohammad Reza against Al Gharafa.</p><p>Khalil had missed Al Ahli’s Week 3 match against Umm Salal, which they lost 1-4, due to suspension he received against Qatar SC.</p><p>Reza had been out of action ever since he got injured during their 0-2 loss to Al Rayyan in the opening week.</p><p>Al Ahli also have the likes of Meshaal Abdulla, Ali Faridoon, Moroccan midfielder Mohsine Moutaouly, Dutchman Nigel de Jong and Iranian Omid Ebrahimi.</p><p><strong>Tickets can be purchased online at:</strong></p><p><a href="mailto:[email protected]"><strong>tickets.qsl.qa</strong></a></p>
