Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 2 match against Al Arabi.

“We promise to continue putting up good performances and achieve positive results while building up the team. I am happy with our victory over Al Wakrah in the first week and we consider it as a perfect start. Winning is a great motivation for the team.

“Looking at our match against Al Arabi, we remember that we lost to them in both legs in last season’s QNB Stars League, so we must present our very best against them.

“I followed the Al Khor vs Al Arabi match and noticed the importance of physical preparations for such matches, especially in the current circumstances. Therefore, our preparations were for the next two matches, as we will be playing Al Khor in Week 3.

“I had been insisting on the return of Iranian international Omid Ebrahimi to our squad because he is a distinguished player and leader on the field. He shows high professionalism and encourages the youngsters who play alongside him,” said Nebojsa.
