Qatar SC goalkeeping coach Wesner spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 1 match against Al Gharafa.

“We are now facing a new challenge with the start of the new season, so we have made the required preparations. We respect Al Gharafa, who are a very organised team and did a good job last season. They have retained 95 per cent of their players and their coach is smart. He knows how to use his offensive strengths well.

“We must do everything we can and reorganise ourselves in the best possible way. We let go some players and at the same time new players joined our team and we still keep 90 per cent of our group. We are focused more on giving off our best,” said Wesner.

Qatar SC player Elmehdi Barrahma said, “The preparations went off very well and the players realise the responsibility that we have. Al Gharafa are a good team. There is no doubt that stability is a positive case that enhances the strength of the team and its technical capabilities, so we must benefit from the experience of last season and avoid repeating mistakes.”
