19:30 kick-off at Al Sadd Stadium

Al Wakrah face Al Rayyan in Week 22 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:30 at the Al Sadd Stadium on Friday, 21st August, 2020.

The match, which will have a simultaneous kick-off with Al Duhail vs Al Ahli fixture at the Al Janoub Stadium, assumes much significance as the crowning of new champions will be held at either of these games.

Al Rayyan, guided by Diego Aguirre, will emerge as the new QNB Stars League champions if they win and Al Duhail either draw or lose as just one point separates both teams.

Al Rayyan (48 points) continued to keep pace with leaders Al Duhail (49 points) after Week 21, where they beat Al Shahania and Al Khor respectively by an identical 1-0 margin.

Al Rayyan have registered 14 wins, six draws and one defeat, with a goal difference of +23 (38 goals for and 15 against).

Marquez Lopez-coached Al Wakrah, who beat Al Ahli 1-0 in Week 21, are placed sixth with 27 points. The Blue Wave have recorded seven wins, six draws and eight defeats, and their goal difference is -1, having scored 28 goals and conceded 29.

Al Rayyan had beaten Al Wakrah 1-0 in the first leg of 2019-20 QNB Stars League.
