19:30 kick-off at Al Janoub Stadium

Al Duhail face Al Ahli in Week 22 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:30 at the Al Janoub Stadium on Friday, 21st August, 2020.

Much spotlight will be on the Al Duhail vs Al Ahli and Al Wakrah vs Al Rayyan encounters as the crowning of new champions will be held at either of these matches.

Al Duhail will become the new QNB Stars League champions if they beat Al Ahli, irrespective of the result of Al Wakrah vs Al Rayyan game, as The Red Knights, coached by Walid Regragui, have a one-point lead over second-placed Al Rayyan (48 points).

Al Duhail, who beat Al Khor 1-0 in Week 21, have 15 wins, the most by any team, four draws and two defeats, with a goal difference of +21 (37 goals for and 16 against).

Al Ahli are eighth in the standings with 20 points. The Brigadiers have five wins, as many draws and 11 defeats against their name, and their goal difference is -11 (24 goals for and 35 against).

Al Ahli, coached by Nebojsa Jovovic, had lost 0-1 to Al Wakrah in Week 21.

No doubt, Al Duhail will leave no stone unturned with the likes of Paulo Edmilson, Almoez Ali and Mohammed Muntari leading their attack, but they will have to be wary of Al Ahli, whose charge will be led by Nabil El Zhar and Hernan Perez.

Al Ahli had lost 0-3 to Al Duhail in the first leg of 2019-20 QNB Stars League.
