Al Sailiya face Al Sadd in Week 2 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 18:15 at the Education City Stadium on Monday, 7th September, 2020.

Al Sailiya’s confidence is high after holding last season’s runners-up Al Rayyan to a 1-1 draw in Week 1. The Peregrines, under Sami Trabelsi, had embarked on the new season with high ambitions and their opening performance substantiated their statement.

Al Sailiya could only finish fifth last season, a below-par performance compared to their third-place finish in the 2018-19 season, which was their best-ever in history.

A reinforced Al Sailiya squad is sure to pose a threat to Al Sadd, who are strong contenders for the title.

Al Sadd, who finished third in the 2019-20 season, are coming from a 5-1 defeat of Al Kharaitiyat and The Wolves, coached by Spain and Barcelona great Xavi Hernandez, will look to continue from where they left off.

Al Sadd will take this game too as preparation for their campaign in the 2020 AFC Champions League, which will resume on 14th September with all West Zone matches being scheduled in Doha.
