Al Gharafa coach Slavisa Jokanovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Sadd.

“We are facing Al Sadd, one the best teams in the league. We look forward towards continuing our good run and make further progress. Al Sadd have many outstanding Qatari and overseas players, and also a good coach. It is an important challenge and really an important test for my team because we have the chance to know where we are when we face the strongest teams in the league.

“We had lost our first-leg match against Al Sadd this season, so this time we want to perform better and show more competitiveness. We will be ready to fight for points.

“So far, if we compare with last season, we find that we have improved. We have scored more points and won more matches, and we will finish in the fourth position. We have had specific programmes with young players and their level has improved. The process will not stop. We know we can be better and we have to work in that direction,” said Jokanovic.
