Qatar’s Al Duhail face Saudi Arabia’s Al Taawoun in Round 6 (Group C) of the 2020 AFC Champions League on Thursday, 24th September. The kick-off is at 21:00 at the Education City Stadium.
Khalifa International Stadium, Al Janoub Stadium and Al Sadd Stadium are the other venues as the tournament resumed with all West Zone matches on the continent being scheduled in Doha from 14th September to 3rd October.
Al Duhail are leading the group with nine points. Persepolis and the UAE’s Sharjah both have seven points and are placed second and third respectively. Al Taawoun are fourth on six points.
All four teams have a chance to progress to the knockout pre-quarterfinals and that makes the last-round contests interesting.
Persepolis play Sharjah in a simultaneous kick-off on Thursday, 24th September, at the Al Sadd Stadium.
Al Duhail beat Persepolis 1-0 on 21st September in Round 5, riding on a penalty goal by Almoez Ali.
Al Duhail had lost 2-4 to Sharjah in Round 4 on 18th September in a reverse fixture. The Red Knights beat Sharjah 2-1 in Round 3 on 15th September.
Al Duhail beat Persepolis 2-0 in Doha in their opener on 11th February, but lost 0-2 to Al Taawoun in Jeddah on 18th February before the tournament was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
