Al Ahli fight it out with Al Khor in Week 22 of the QNB Stars League on Saturday, 13th April. The kick-off is at 20:30 at the Al Arabi Stadium.

Al Ahli are placed fifth with 33 points. They have 10 victories, three draws and eight defeats against their name with a goal difference of -7 (31 goals for and 38 against).

Al Ahli, coached by Spaniard Ruben de la Barrera, have been doing pretty well this season. They suffered a 2-7 loss to newly-crowned champions Al Sadd in the last round. But then, The Brigadiers had defeated Al Sadd in the first leg by a 4-1 margin and that was The Wolves’ only defeat so far in this season’s QNB Stars League.

Al Ahli have a chance to even finish third if third-placed Al Sailiya or fourth-placed Al Rayyan slip.

Al Khor, who held Al Gharafa goalless in Week 21, are in 10th place with 19 points (five wins, four draws and 12 defeats). Their goal difference is -14 (21 goals for and 35 against).

Interestingly, The Knights are involved in the battle to avoid relegation along with Qatar SC (16 points) and Al Kharaitiyat (15 points).

Al Khor have been faring well ever since Omar Najhi took over the coaching reins from Frenchman Bernard Casoni.

Al Ahli had beaten Al Khor 2-0 in the first leg.
