Xavi Hernandez of Al Sadd has been named as the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League’s Best Coach for the month of January, 2021, according to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the Qatar Stars League.
Under Xavi, Al Sadd played four matches and won all of them to collect the maximum 12 points.
The Wolves beat Al Kharaitiyat 5-0 in Week 12, Al Sailiya 8-0 in Week 13, Al Duhail 3-1 in Week 14 and Al Khor 7-0 in Week 15.
During the period, Al Sadd scored 23 goals while conceding just one and they are now leading the QNB Stars League table with 41 points as the tournament has taken a break after 15 rounds of action.
It may be recalled that Xavi was adjudged the Best Coach for the months of September and October this season.
Xavi’s playing career was full of success with Barcelona, where he joined at the age of 11, winning many titles especially in Spain and Europe.
In 2015, he moved to Al Sadd, where he won the Qatar League, Amir Cup and Qatar Cup. The Spaniard took up coaching after retiring as a player at the end of 2018-19 season with Al Sadd. He has since been at the helm of Al Sadd.
