16:10 kick-off at Al Ahli Stadium

Al Shamal face Al Gharafa in Week 12 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:10 at the Al Ahli Stadium on Monday, 3rd January, 2022.

Al Shamal, coached by Moroccan Hicham Jadrane, are placed ninth in the table with nine points (two wins, three draws and six defeats).

Al Shamal and Al Ahli are on same number of points, but the former are placed ahead on better goal difference (-7 as against Al Ahli’s -10).

Al Shamal had done well in Week 11, when the league resumed after a long break, by holding Al Wakrah to a 1-1 draw. However, they lost 1-2 to Al Rayyan in the last round.

Al Gharafa, coached by Andrea Stramaccioni, are fourth in the table with 19 points (six wins, one draw and four defeats).

The Cheetahs have a goal difference of +7 (19 goals for and 12 against).

Al Gharafa beat Al Sailiya by a 3-0 margin in the last round.

Al Gharafa will not want any slip-up as that may result in them exiting the top-four bracket.

On the other hand, Al Shamal need positive results in order to move away from the danger zone.

Both teams have outstanding players in attack and defence.
